Safety and security is the utmost priority for 'Bard in the Yard'.
The team has spent endless hours working out the best way to ensure the safety of both the audience and the artists,
and we will be reviewing the latest Government guidelines on a daily basis and will adapt the project accordingly as and when necessary to ensure the collective safety of everyone involved.
Please read through our safety rules and guidelines below before making a booking.
For more information on the government guidelines on socialising with those outside of your household, please follow the link to the government website here.
Should you have any other questions regarding our safety measures, please contact our producer Charlie Mackellar here.
All of our Bards will be operating within their local area, thus avoiding public transport.
We are required to adhere to Government guidelines regarding the number of people gathering in one area. This currently means a maximum of 6 people from separate households - including our Bard! - are allowed to be in your garden. Please note that if, upon arrival, there are more than 5 people present, our Bard will leave and you will not be entitled to a refund.
All members of the audience as well as our Bard are required to adhere to the required minimum of
2 metres social distancing policy at all times. Our Bards are all experienced professional actors, and will endeavour to be much further away from you most of the time, as they can project their voice.
Our Bard may turn up to your booking wearing a mask or a face covering. They will perform the show unmasked and then may put the mask or face covering back on after the performance.
We certify that the Bard coming to your house has tested COVID-19 negative at the beginning of the project.
We encourage you to adhere to all Government policies: wash your hands thoroughly before and after the performance, and please wear a mask if you wish to do so.
Despite all these measures, we discourage you from making a booking if a member of your household is highly at risk of Covid-19. Our priority is safety for all.
